Adoptable Dogs

In an effort to keep everyone safe through the COVID-19 pandemic and minimize the number of people on campus at the same time, we are doing adoptions by appointment.

863-577-4615. We are a first-come first-serve facility. If you are interested in a specific animal, we cannot guarantee it will still be available at the time of your appointment.

Some dogs are picky about getting new canine friends. To ensure the dog you want to adopt is a good match for your family, we require dog-to-dog introductions in the following cases: You are wanting to adopt a large dog (over 30 lb) and have a dog, or you have a large dog (over 30 lb) and want to adopt a small dog. Please bring your dog and their current vaccination record to your appointment.

Senior dogs (7 years of age and up) can be adopted for 50% of the regular fee! ​

Adoption Pricing for Dogs

The fee includes:

  • Spay/Neuter surgery for unsterilized pets

  • Dogs are dewormed, tested for heartworms

    • If negative they receive a 30-day heartworm preventative every month that they are here at SPCA Florida

    • If positive, treatment is paid for by the Guardian Angel Fund at SPCA Florida’s Medical Center, and receive vaccinations for canine distemper, adenovirus type 2, parainfluenza, parvovirus, and rabies (if age-appropriate)

  • Microchip

  • Educational material

Small Breed (Up to 30 lbs)*

  • Puppies (2 - 6 months) - $450

  • Young Adults ( 6 months - 2 years) - $350

  • Adults (2+ years) - $250

  • Seniors (7+ years) - 50% off the adoption price!

Medium/Large Breed (Over 30 lbs)*

  • Puppies (2 - 6 months) - $350

  • Young Adults ( 6 months - 2 years) - $250

  • Adults (2+ years) - $150

  • Seniors (7+ years) - 50% off the adoption price!

*Specific breed dogs can be priced up to $600 (For example: Golden Retrievers, Hypoallergenic breeds, or purebred dogs.)
