Despite his sweet demeanor, the pain showed through Barbosa’s soulful eyes. When he arrived at SPCA Florida as a stray from Polk County Animal Services, the five-year-old Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund Mix’s left leg was painfully stripped of its skin from an unknown accident. He immediately received pain medication, anti-inflammatories and antibiotics.
X-rays performed revealed he has a fracture and his bone is broken in two places above his paw. Today Barbosa will receive hyperbaric oxygen therapy to help him heal. Once his skin is healed, he may need to undergo surgery for his broken bone. Barbosa’s treatment will cost $2,000. Will you please join us in saving his life through a Guardian Angel donation?
