Name: Tura

Gender: Female

Age:  2 years old

Weight: 7 pounds

Species: Cat

Breed: Domestic Short Hair/Mix – Black/White

Orphaned Since: May 2017

Adoption Fee: $30

Tura is our cute and silly special needs kitty. She may have some arthritis in her back legs that result in the need for a certain type of litter box (a low-sided box with just a layer or two of litter), but believe us, she still loves to play and chase toys around. In fact, ping pong balls are her absolute favorite! Tura could use a little joint supplement mixed in some food once a day and this will help her feel so much better! Tura is an awesome cat who will bring a smile to your face and a little chuckle when she shows you how silly she can be. Stop by SPCA Florida and spend some time with Tura.

Age: 5 years old

Species: Cat

Breed: Domestic Shorthair/Mix – Black/White

Weight: 4.5 pounds

Orphaned Since: June 2017

Bruce is quite a unique looking boy. His black coat is peppered with pretty white fur and his tail has a little bit of a bend and kink in it. Bruce is a quiet and affectionate boy who enjoys napping in quiet spots, although he would prefer to nap in his own forever home with a family. Stop by and say hello to Bruce, he may just be the perfect fit for your family.

Name: Judge

Gender: Male

Age:  3 years old

Species:  Dog

Breed:  German Shepherd/Mix

Weight:  53 pounds

Orphaned Since: July 2017

Adoption Fee: $150

Judge has been at SPCA Florida for just over a month now and has really started to come out of his shell. While in the kennel he tends to be barrier re-active and vocal, but once you get him outside his true personality shines. He currently goes into a small playgroup with other dogs and loves to be chased. He also enjoys the water and isn’t afraid to get dirty. In his one on one time he thoroughly appreciates getting attention and is quite affectionate in visits.

Judge may take a little bit of time to warm up to you so he would best well for a family with older kids/teenagers or even a home with no children. He walks well on a leash and is considered housetrained. He responds well to basic commands such as “sit” but would benefit from some additional training. Overall, Judge is a smaller German Shepherd with a quirky yet happy go lucky personality who’s worth paying a visit. Reserve some time with Judge to get to know him and you will surely fall in love.

Name: Rex

Gender: Male

Age:  3 ½ years old

Species:  Dog

Breed:  Labrador Retriever/Mix

Weight:  59 pounds

Orphaned Since: April 2017

Adoption Fee: $75

Rex has been with us since April and he has made some improvements over the past few months. Upon his arrival at SPCA Florida Rex demonstrated a high energy level, but he has calmed down quite a bit and even goes into a small playgroup with other dogs. He still loves to play fetch as it’s his favorite pastime, but he enjoys going for walks or even the occasional run and walks easy on leash now. He knows some basic commands already such as sit and down and is treat motivated which makes training him a breeze with his obedient personality. He is also already housetrained which is always a plus. Rex is an awesome all around dog who loves attention, giving affection, and being active. He’s good with kids of all ages and his demeanor is suited for either an apartment or a house with an active lifestyle. So be sure to come in and meet Rex – you won’t be disappointed.
