Our mission is to eliminate animal suffering and to engage the entire community in the welfare and well-being of animals. We are a No-Kill organization and shelter dedicated to saving thousands of homeless animals. We need your support to help those animals in need!

Founded in 1979, SPCA Florida is an independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization headquartered in Lakeland. Dedicated to improving the lives of pets and people in the community, SPCA Florida provides caring, compassion, and hope to more than 4,000 homeless animals entering our doors each year.

Open to the public, SPCA Florida's Medical Center is a state-of-the-art veterinary facility that heals and helps 50,000 patients annually. Thousands more pets and people are served through our community outreach and education programs.

Emergency response
FL SARC is the disaster response division of SPCA Florida, dedicated to disaster mitigation, preparation, response, and recovery for emergencies involving companion animals. With hurricane season around the corner, your support is critical to saving the lives of thousands of animals!

I volunteer & foster at SPCA. It’s a great place with wonderful people and animals. I started volunteering in the kennels a few years ago & soon I was fostering. It’s very rewarding and exciting to help the foster animals & love them for a little while until they can be adopted into their furever homes. Fosters & volunteers are always needed.
